Design & Fabrication Highlights
Fabrication of 3D Front-Lit Letters
The 3D front-lit signage was fabricated using 3 mm opal white acrylic and 50 mm aluminium box-up, delivering crisp illumination and durability for Singapore’s outdoor climate. Each letter was internally illuminated with 3500K warm white LED modules to achieve an inviting glow suitable for an F&B environment.

LED Neon Logo with Gold Overlay
The signature circular logo was produced using 20–30 mm LED neon flex layered with Oracal 651M-091 Gold overlay. This combination provides a metallic look in the daytime and a smooth, continuous neon glow at night, while remaining energy-efficient and low-maintenance.

Large Outdoor Vinyl Wall Mural
The road-facing façade features a 4200 mm × 4800 mm outdoor vinyl wall mural, printed on UV-resistant vinyl and applied directly onto the panel surface. The black-and-gold design reinforces the brand’s premium positioning with the tagline “Where The Journeys Begin”.

Installation Process & Safety Compliance
Installing outdoor building signage at Suntec City required careful planning and full compliance with local safety regulations. Apex Signages coordinated with building management, specialist installers and a Professional Engineer (PE) to deliver the works safely and on schedule.
On-Site Alignment & Template Positioning
Installation began with full-size templates fixed to the perforated aluminium façade. This ensured accurate alignment of the 3D letters and neon logo before drilling and anchoring.

Behind-Glass Ceiling-Hung Installation
For the glass-fronted section, the neon logo was installed behind glass using a ceiling-hung method. A PE-endorsed combination of stainless-steel anchors, rods and brackets was used to achieve the required load-bearing capacity without compromising the glass structure.

Work-at-Height & Equipment Constraints
The signage was installed at heights of approximately 6–7 metres, requiring the use of scissor lifts and ladders within tight access zones. All works followed BizSafe and Work-at-Height procedures, including harnessing, barricades and proper equipment positioning.
Lighting & Visual Impact
Completed Night View – Shop Name
The completed 3D front-lit shop name delivers bright, evenly diffused light that is highly visible from surrounding walkways and the road. The warm 3500K colour temperature supports the restaurant’s cosy, wine-focused ambience.

Completed Logo – Road-Facing Side
The neon logo becomes a strong focal point after dark, floating against a dark backdrop and catching the attention of both pedestrians and motorists approaching Suntec City.

Brand Messaging During Fit-Out
Before opening, temporary vinyl graphics reading “See you in November! We age like fine wine so give us a little time” were applied to maintain brand presence and manage customer expectations during the fit-out period.

Challenges & Solutions
1. Lengthy Suntec Management Approval
Suntec City enforces strict façade and signage guidelines, resulting in a longer-than-usual approval process. Apex Signages coordinated multiple submission rounds, including technical drawings, illumination details and structural calculations, to meet all management requirements while maintaining the original design intent.
2. Tight Opening Timeline
Meet 2 Wine Bar & Restaurant had committed to a fixed opening date. To meet this deadline, the Apex Signages team ran conceptualisation, design refinement, PE endorsement and fabrication workstreams in parallel. Site works were carefully sequenced to minimise disruption within Suntec City.
3. Two-Month End-to-End Delivery
From initial concept to installation, the entire project was completed in approximately two months, including design, approval, fabrication and on-site installation for all facades.
4. Behind-Glass Installation Complexity
The behind-glass neon logo required a ceiling-hung solution that could carry the signage weight without affecting the glass panel performance. A PE-engineered system using stainless steel anchors and hollow sections ensured safe, long-term support.
5. Multi-Facade Coordination
Each façade had different dimensions, glass lines and structural elements. Detailed site measurements and on-site mock-ups were used to maintain consistent logo proportions, letter spacing and illumination across all locations.
6. Concealing Wiring for a Clean Finish
Custom black spray-painted steel bars were fabricated to hide wiring on the road-facing façade, keeping the focus on the illuminated elements and maintaining a premium, uncluttered appearance.
Results & Client Outcome
The completed signage system gives Meet 2 Wine Bar & Restaurant a strong and memorable presence at Suntec City. The combination of 3D front-lit signage, gold neon logos and a large outdoor vinyl mural ensures excellent visibility from all key approach routes while aligning with the brand’s premium wine-bar positioning.

FAQ – Outdoor Signage in Singapore
How durable is 3D front-lit signage outdoors in Singapore?
With aluminium construction, sealed LED modules and proper maintenance, 3D front-lit signage typically lasts 5–8 years even in Singapore’s hot and humid climate.
Is PE approval required for ceiling-hung or elevated signage?
Yes. In Singapore, most ceiling-hung or elevated outdoor building signage requires Professional Engineer (PE) endorsement to verify its structural safety.
Why choose LED neon over traditional glass neon?
LED neon is more energy-efficient, has lower running temperatures, offers longer lifespan and is safer for high-traffic locations such as shopping malls and F&B clusters.
Can vinyl murals be installed directly on glass panels?
Yes. Outdoor-grade vinyl with the correct adhesive system can be applied directly onto glass, as seen on the road-facing façade of Meet 2 Wine Bar & Restaurant at Suntec City.
How long do outdoor signage projects usually take in Singapore?
Typical timelines range from 4–6 weeks. Complex multi-facade projects that require building approvals, like this one at Suntec City, may take up to two months from concept to installation.
