Completed May 2025 • Fabric Lightbox + 3D Acrylic • Heritage Building (MCST-compliant) • Singapore
Apex Signages completed a custom signage project in Singapore for Inspire Mum & Baby, a specialised women and children therapy centre located within a conserved heritage building along Serangoon Road. The client required a warm, welcoming look while staying compliant with MCST guidelines and size restrictions.
The scope included a round fabric lightbox, an indoor fabric lightbox fascia, and 3D acrylic lettering to ensure clear brand visibility by day and a soft, comforting glow at night.

Design & Fabrication Highlights
- Heritage & MCST-friendly sizing: The round lightbox dimensions were reduced to meet approval requirements while maintaining brand readability.

- 3D acrylic lettering: Precision-cut acrylic letters and logo elements finished in brand-matched colours.
- Print & colour accuracy: Consistent logo tone across both indoor and outdoor signage applications.

Installation Process & Safety Compliance
Installation was coordinated to suit the site environment and heritage façade. Our team ensured secure anchoring, neat cable routing, and a clean final finish suitable for a healthcare setting.
Where required, work practices followed standard Singapore WAH (Work-At-Height) procedures and on-site safety controls such as controlled work zones and proper access equipment selection.
Lighting & Visual Impact
The lighting was tuned to deliver a soft, evenly illuminated glow—bright enough for night-time visibility without harsh glare. This is especially important for women and children-focused healthcare environments.
The final result improves street presence and makes the unit easy to identify, supporting walk-ins and visitor wayfinding.
Challenges & Solutions
Challenge: The round lightbox initially appeared dim because the signage size was reduced to comply with MCST requirements, limiting internal light output.
Solution: We increased LED strip density and optimised internal placement to boost brightness while keeping the approved size unchanged.
Results
Inspire Mum & Baby now has a cohesive signage system across exterior and interior touchpoints—combining a modern fabric lightbox look with crisp 3D acrylic lettering. The upgraded illumination ensures strong visibility after dark while preserving a calm, professional identity suitable for a therapy centre in Singapore.
